Lesson 2
After completing the Check-your-understanding questions, which were important for everyone to do?
Pick one or two problems that you did and show your work to you seat partner.
Direct Instruction
Notes
The line on a graph tells us the values of ANY independent or dependent variables (even if they aren't the values in our table)
This is because a line indicates a proportional relationship, x and y are proportional to each other.
The equation tells you their relationship, how they relate to each other

There is a BIG difference between a decimal point and a * to show multiplication!!!! They are NOT the same thing.
Today were are going to work together to complete a Focused Interim Assessment Block (FIAB): Dependent and Independent Variables
You are going to work on this with your seat partner. Both of you, please take out ONE Chromebook, pencils and/or pens, and SOMETHING TO DO WHEN FINISHED (book to read, paper to draw or write on, etc.)
If you have a watch or phone, be sure it is in your backpack. Place your backpack in the front OR back of the room.
DO NOT SIGN IN TO THE CHROMEBOOK. If you are signed in, sign out. Click the Apps in the bottom left corner > Secure Test Browser > CA > CA Assessment System > Enter your first name and SSID
When finished, put your scratch paper in the basket (FRONT) and work on something else quietly: read, draw, etc. Please don't talk.
